The Agriculture Initiative in South Sudan is dedicated to improving the livelihoods of rural communities through sustainable agricultural practices. Our Livestock and Poultry Program aims to enhance food security, increase income, and promote economic growth in South Sudan.

Objectives
1. Improve livestock and poultry productivity: Enhance the quality and quantity of livestock and poultry products through improved breeding, feeding, and health management practices.
2. Increase income for rural households: Provide training and support to farmers to establish and manage profitable livestock and poultry enterprises.
3. Enhance food security: Increase access to nutritious livestock and poultry products, improving the overall health and well-being of rural communities.

Key Interventions
1. Livestock breeding and improvement: Introduce improved livestock breeds, provide training on breeding and reproduction management, and establish breeding centers.
2. Poultry production and management: Provide training and support on poultry production, including chicken and egg production, and establish poultry demonstration centers.
3. Animal health services: Provide veterinary care and support to farmers, including vaccination programs, disease diagnosis, and treatment.
4. Feed and nutrition: Provide training and support on improved feeding and nutrition practices for livestock and poultry.
5. Market access: Facilitate market access for farmers to sell their livestock and poultry products, increasing their income and economic opportunities.
